A. Resume should be strong in extra-currics showcasing you to be outgoing and meeting people. The resume should be succint, but detailed enough to convey our warm personality & ability top manage people.

A. Candidates should not focus on academics only. Besides extra-currics should not be avoided.

A. Standard placement form is used by the company for the campus recruitment.

A. Yes, the shortlist is activated by the company.
Q. What comprises that shortlist?
A. Shortlist is qualifying in nature. It is primarily based on the academics & extra-currics.
Q. What is normally the ratio of shortlisted candidates to the total applicants at the Institute.
A. Generally majority(read every one) who submits resume gets through, at least in the IIMs.
Q. Is there advantage for people with work experience?
A. For people with relevant proven work experience, there is a higher pay packet and reduced probation period but other than that there is no advantage to enter the company. Generally there is no person with airlines experience at MBA institutes.

Preliminary Interview
Q. What types of questions are asked in the interview?
A. The communication skills are important. The aim of the interview is to see whether the candidate is capable of dealing with job requirements. One frequent question is the candidate sharp enough to calm down an irate passenger and so on. The questions are more or less across whole issues. Another question is how would you motivate your employees who has worked hard.
Q. Does the company conduct any preliminary interviews before the final interview?
A. The Interview process usually comprises of two or three stages. You might call the initial stage as preliminary interview but the first and second/third stages are usually integrated stages. The interviews are conducted by a senior team from personnel department.
Q. Are these initial rounds qualifying or eliminatory in nature?
A. These initial rounds are usually eliminatory in nature. Generally one in three candidates are selected.
Q. What is the duration of interview/ number of panelists?
A. Generally the interview lasts from 25-35 minutes. Similarly, the second & final interview was around for 20 minutes. There are generally three-four people in the interview panel. The senior-most person in the Interview panel is a very senior person in the personnel department.
